Hello and Goodbye
We would like to give a big welcome to Malachi who joined our Lower Baby room at the end of May. We hope you enjoy your time with us.
And sadly we are saying goodbye to Zaevian from our Yellow Room. We wish you all the very best in your new nursery.
A reminder to parent’s that the nursery will be closed on Wednesday 6th June for our second inset day of the year. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
This Year’s Annual outing will be to Battersea Park Zoo on the 6th July. Letters will be coming round shortly with the details for this trip.
Throughout June we will continue looking at Brazil as our Country of interest. Thank you to Jacqueline and Remi, Chloe’s mummy and daddy, for coming in and cooking with the children. They made Brigadeiro (chocolate truffles), Beijinho (Coconut truffles) and Pao de Queijo (baked cheese bread rolls). These were enjoyed by all.
A reminder that Sports day is on Monday 4th June in Mountsfield Park from 9:30am for the children in Red, Yellow and Blue room only. Parents are invited to attend and take part. The medals are £2 each and you can give the payment to the staff in your child’s room.

Fun things to do in Lewisham
Downham Library Family film showing is held on Saturdays from 12:30-2:30pm and is FREE. The films range from family classics to the latest releases and are shown in the upstairs library meeting room.
Lewisham Library holds Toddler Tales for Parents, babies and toddlers where they have short stories and nursery rhymes. You can see the dates on the Lewisham website for the days these are held and they are FREE.
Natures Playground is on the 7th June from 12-3pm at ‘Wild Cats Wilderness’ for Pre School children and their families. You will get to join in with natural play and do outdoor activities. This does need to be booked through their website.
Healthy Eating Week
It is Healthy Eating Week from the 11th to the 15th of June and people are being invited to take part. The week is all about celebrating healthy eating, cooking, food provenance and physical activity. The 5 health challenges people are being asked to take part in are:
Have Breakfast. Get Active. Have 5 a day.
Drink Plenty. Make a change.
The weekend Nursery enjoyed a lovely day out to Horniman’s Museum on Saturday 26th May. They spent the day exploring the museum and grounds and had a picnic while there.
